1η SUMMER MUSIC ACADEMY

The first Chios Music Academy now belongs to the musical history of Chios, simultaneously constituting a valuable legacy for its municipal philharmonic. In this five-day “school,” all participants experienced a significant musical journey through daily individual and group lessons, as well as concerts, leaving an indelible spiritual imprint. Besides the unquestionable knowledge that was gained, precious friendships were also forged!
The teachers were notable professional musicians from our country, and the students, apart from becoming the new blood of the philharmonic, were students from the rest of Greece preparing to spread their wings and dedicate themselves to the world of music. The culmination of the Academy was the presence of the legendary brass quintet “Canadian Brass,” who, in addition to their unique concert at the Homerion Cultural Center of the Municipality of Chios, generously shared their knowledge during the masterclasses, rehearsals, and concerts. Serving as role models and inspirations for the Academy participants.
